The Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina is glad to announce the release of a new Open Data Portal, which will provide users throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world with the access to a large number of relevant information. This portal represents a unique source of data that is available to everyone, with no restrictions or payment.
The Open Data Portal is designed to make various types of data more accessible and usable. Users will be able to search a database that includes a wide range of services, including: information and data contained in the registers of personal identification numbers, permanent and temporary residences of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, identity cards, travel documents, registered motor vehicles and registration documents, driver’s licenses, register of fines and misdemeanour, created cards for digital tachographs and seafarers’ identity documents.
Through continuous self-initiated publication of specific types of information on the website of the Agency in an open format—which includes file formats that are independent of the used platform with no restrictions for reuse—the IDDEEA BiH ODP aims to implement the fundamental principles of the Law on Free Access to Information at the level of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Provisions of the Directive (EU) 2019/2024 of the European Parliament and Council of June 20, 2019, regulating open data and the reuse of public sector documents, are also implemented through our platform.
These data will be available in different formats, which will enable their further analysis and use in researches, projects or making informed decisions.
The Open Data Portal encourages accountability and openness in the administration of public resources. Citizens will be able to monitor and analyse multiple aspects of public policy and society through this portal. Additionally, the portal will also enable researchers, journalists, and non-governmental organisations to access and obtain relevant information that will support their work.

To provide users with the most up-to-date information, every data on the Open Data Portal is thoroughly verified and updated. Moreover, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to collaborate with relevant institutions and organisations to ensure the accuracy and scope of data on the portal.
