Interconnection systems
In terms of interconnection, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina has the following roles:
INTERPOL service
An INTERPOL exchange point where data on stolen vehicles and missing/stolen documents are entered via online service using the WISDM INTERPOL system in collaboration with the appropriate police authorities.
- When registering a vehicle, INTERPOL conducts vehicle checks. These tests have been integrated with our applications.
- When a travel document is declared invalid (due to loss or theft), the information is entered into INTERPOL ‘s database.
TACHOnet service
Exchange point with the EU s-TESTA network, i.e. the TACHOnet service.
During actions essential for the administrative procedure with tachograph cards (issuance, replacement of cards, unscheduled checks and alike), the exchange of data on drivers and tachograph cards is carried out through the TACHOnet service, both in BiH and in the EU countries and other members of the TACHOnet service.
Data exchange
A regional data exchange project financed by the RCC (Regional Cooperation Council), whose goal is the exchange of essential data between the countries of the region. Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH has proposed the Agency as the access point in BiH, which has met all the technical prerequisites, and the service for exchanging data on the status of identification documents is ready for launching.
The project of electronic automatic data exchange on driving licences with many European Union countries is now being undertaken, aiming to reduce administrative procedures and speed up the process of issuing driving licences to foreigners in the participating countries.
