PKI System for digital signing of travel documents and e-IDs

The Agency is established by the Law on the Agency and has legal authority over the public key infrastructure used to digitally sign the content of biometric travel documents and identity cards of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Article 6, paragraph 8).

The PKI system for digital signing of the content of travel documents was developed in compliance with relevant international standards in the field of travel documents and consists of the Country Signing Certification Authority (CSCA) for digital signature verification, which is the root certification body that issues and signs certificates for digital signing of the contents of travel documents as an electronic memory element (Document Signer – DS certificate).

The CSCA root certificates and the link between the different versions of these certificates are publicly available and can be downloaded below.
