Working Meeting Held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton with Representatives of IDDEEA: Digital Services for Citizens a Step Closer to Full Implementation

Today, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) between representatives of the USC Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), dedicated to the improvement and application of digital services intended for citizens.

The meeting was attended by the USC Minister of Internal Affairs, Adnan Habibija, the Head of the Minister’s Cabinet, Bekira Arapović, assistant ministers, and other associates of the USC Ministry of Internal Affairs. The IDDEEA delegation was led by Director Almir Badnjević, along with associates, including Dijana Joldžić-Ogrešević, Head of the IDDEEA Regional Center in Bihać.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the possibilities and methods of applying digital services that enable citizens to have simpler and more efficient access to documents and data from official records, thereby reducing the need to visit institutional premises and wait at service counters.

A special part of the meeting was dedicated to the practical application of the system. Haris Alešević, an administrator from the technical service of the USC Ministry of Internal Affairs, demonstrated to those present what the process of using the service looks like, specifically how a citizen can electronically access and obtain the PBA3 (CIPS) form, i.e., a certificate of residence/domicile.

This way of working represents an important step in the process of digitalizing public administration and improving the services provided to citizens by the USC Ministry of Internal Affairs. The goal is to simplify, accelerate, and adapt administrative procedures to the modern needs of citizens wherever possible, while simultaneously ensuring data security and system reliability.

During the meeting, IDDEEA Director Almir Badnjević presented the experiences and opportunities that the Agency provides in the process of digital transformation. Furthermore, valuable information was exchanged with representatives of the USC Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the technical and organizational aspects of implementing digital solutions.

Minister Adnan Habibija emphasized the importance of the cooperation between the USC Ministry of Internal Affairs and IDDEEA in the process of modernizing the Ministry’s operations, especially considering the need for public institutions to keep pace with technological development and enable citizens to exercise their rights as easily as possible.

The digitalization of administrative procedures is one of the key directions for the further development of public administration. Such meetings represent an opportunity to exchange experiences, eliminate potential technical obstacles, and improve services that are directly aimed at citizens.

The USC Ministry of Internal Affairs will, in cooperation with IDDEEA, continue its activities to improve digital services and ensure their accessibility to the citizens of the Una-Sana Canton.
