We are proud to announce that Identity Week, the globally renowned community and the organizer of the world’s largest conference in the field of identification documents and digital solutions, has recognized the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH) as a leader in digital innovations, guiding Bosnia and Herzegovina towards becoming one of the leading nations in Europe for digital identity.
“Managing a set of essential services, from electronic certificates to electronic signatures for identification documents, IDDEEA is not just maintaining records but revolutionising how they’re accessed and utilised, in strict alignment with the new EU law on digital identity,” states the publication. In addition, the e-services provided by the Agency are listed, such as access to the register of fines and misdemeanors, the Open Data Portal, and e-Identity.
They also point out that IDDEEA’s commitment to the e-Identity project is a good example of modernization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, fostering improved communication and administrative efficiency, and paving the way for a future where access to services and documents is straightforward and secure, uplifting the daily lives of citizens with the power of technology.
In this way, IDDEEA works to fulfill the priorities of the European Union in terms of digital transformation and electronic communication security.
Supporting the ambitious aspiration of BiH to harmonize with EU standards, IDDEEA launched a digital identity for all citizens, contributing to fulfillment of one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals related to Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9).
With its work, IDDEEA continues to set standards in the field of identification documents and digital solutions, providing the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the highest standards of security and efficiency in this important area, while at the same time contributing to the implementation of the EU Digital Strategy, which aims to promote digital transformation in the EU.
