SARAJEVO, September 23, 2026 – An official meeting of the advisor to the director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), Ilija Trninić, was held in Sarajevo today, with representatives of ASPIRO, Miroslav Kučer and Damir Kasum. The working meeting marked the beginning of the implementation of a new project called “Assistance in the introduction of digital communication tools”. The project is financed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic within the Aid for Trade program and represents an important part of the official Foreign Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The main goal of the initiated project is to provide strategic and expert support to the IDDEEA agency in the ongoing process of digitalization of public administration and the private sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The basis of this cooperation will be the transfer of proven Czech “know-how” and best practices in the field of implementing modern digital services, electronic identity and improving the efficiency of communication between the state, citizens and the business environment.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina is going through a key phase of digital transformation and the exchange of experience with countries that have successfully gone through this process is extremely valuable for us. Cooperation with ASPIRO and the use of Czech experience will help us accelerate the introduction of modern digital tools into practice,” said Ilija Trninić, adviser to the director of IDDEEA, on the occasion of the start of the project.
ASPIRO company representatives presented the project schedule and key steps for the coming months at the meeting. “The Czech Republic has valuable experience in the field of digitalization of public administration that we can share with our partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Aid for Trade project allows us to provide the IDDEEA agency not only with theoretical knowledge, but above all with practical tools for successfully mastering the digital transition, which will benefit both citizens and domestic companies,” added Miroslav Kučera from the ASPIRO company.
The Aid for Trade program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic is aimed at long-term assistance to partner countries in building the capacities necessary for the development of trade, economy and efficient public administration. The IDDEEA support project confirms the continuous commitment of the Czech Republic to the active contribution to the development and modernization of institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
