IDDEEA BiH and EU Twinning Project: Continued implementation of activities in cooperation with partners from Italy and Finland

This week, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) held another round of mission activities for our EU Twinning project, “Improving Service Delivery for Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina through Strengthening the Capacity of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA)“. By participating in this project, IDDEEA contributes to achieving the EU Sustainable Development Goals (particularly, SDG 7), which refers to the improvement of e-government services.

We had the pleasure of welcoming partners from the Italian Consortium for Information Systems (CSI Piemonte) and the Finnish Institute of Public Administration (HAUS) to our premises in Banja Luka, as well as participating in constructive knowledge and best practice exchange sessions. Such partnerships contribute to the achievement of one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 17).

In particular, the activities focused on identifying training needs and commencing the development of training programmes using the “Train the Trainers (ToT)” methodology, which refers to human resource management based on examples and best practices from EU member states.

These missions provided important overviews of the situation and discussions, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration in this Twinning project, aiming to achieve the target results defined in the digital transformation framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its EU integration path, while also contributing to the fulfilment of EU priorities in terms of providing the secure exchange of data between different levels of government.
