Five Presentations by Czech Experts Held the “Aid for Trade” Project

As part of the project “Assistance in the Introduction of Digital Communication Tools”, implemented through the Aid for Trade programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, with the partnership support of the ASPIRO organization, five presentations by Czech experts were held from 26 to 30 October 2026, organized by the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA).

The presentations were held at IDDEEA’s regional centres in Mostar, Sarajevo, Bijeljina and Bihać, as well as at the Agency’s headquarters in Banja Luka. The aim of these activities was to present the Czech Republic’s experience in the field of digital communication tools, e-government and improving communication between institutions, the business community and citizens.

The presentations showcased experience in the development and implementation of digital solutions, with particular emphasis on the electronic mailbox as a tool for the secure and efficient exchange of official documents and communication with institutions.

The events brought together representatives of various institutions, public bodies, business and professional organizations. Particular interest was expressed by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the Ministry of Economy of the Una-Sana Canton, the Bijeljina City Administration, the Public Registry of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Gradiška Development Agency, the Bar Association of Republika Srpska, the Association of Accountants and Auditors of Republika Srpska, as well as other organizations.

The discussions focused on the practical aspects of introducing digital communication solutions, including the legal and technical framework, implementation costs and timelines, the number of potential users, verification of electronic documents, as well as opportunities for applying such systems in the administrative and business environment of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Particular attention was given to opportunities for domestic institutions and organizations to participate in support and cooperation programmes with the Czech Republic, as well as the potential for establishing connections with Czech investors and development programmes.

The presentations provide a basis for continued communication and consideration of concrete forms of cooperation with the institutions and organizations that expressed interest. In this regard, further information on cooperation opportunities, the exchange of technical information and consideration of the next steps in line with the needs expressed are planned.

Through these activities, IDDEEA continues to strengthen international cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and experience, and to create opportunities for the application of modern digital solutions that can contribute to more efficient institutional operations and improved public services in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Digital transformation involves connecting institutions, exchanging knowledge and creating more efficient ways of communication in the interests of citizens and the business community.
