This project represents a significant step for Bosnia and Herzegovina in its digital transformation efforts since it provides citizens with a safe, straightforward, and effective means to manage identification data and digital services. The developed digital platform will enable users to store key digital documents, such as driving licences and passports, as well as to use electronic signatures – all in line with EU eIDAS standards for electronic identity and trust services.

The project is being implemented in three phases, with its key feature being a progressive deployment. The first phase involves consultation and solution design, the second phase focuses on prototype creation and testing, and the third phase covers final implementation and integration into existing systems. The project ensures not only technical compliance but also high standards of user security and privacy protection through collaboration with partners such as the Identity Consortium and the company Adverta Pro d.o.o., as well as support from the European Union Delegation and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Eventually, the successful implementation of the digital platform will provide citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with easier access to digital services, improve interaction with public institutions and the private sector, and represent a key step toward the integration of BiH into the European digital ecosystem.
