The Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH), Prof. Dr. Almir Badnjević, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Damijan Sedar.
The meeting focused on the upcoming elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with particular emphasis on the new technologies to be used in the electoral process, as well as the activities being carried out in preparation for their implementation.
Director Badnjević presented IDDEEA’s activities, as well as the technical and institutional solutions developed and implemented by the Agency to support the secure and efficient conduct of the electoral process.
Ambassador Sedar particularly emphasized his support for the work of the Agency and the successful activities carried out by IDDEEA in preparing for and implementing new electoral technologies, especially those related to the biometric identification of voters.
The meeting also addressed the importance of data security, reliable identification, and the application of modern technological solutions in the public sector, as well as opportunities for exchanging experiences and further developing cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on the application of new technologies in public processes and reaffirmed the importance of institutional cooperation in the areas of digitalization, security, and the development of modern public services.
