The Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Renaud Meyer, and his deputy, Mr. Victor Munteanu, visited the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, where they met with the IDDEEA Director, Mr. Almir Badnjević.
The meeting focused on the ongoing cooperation between UNDP and the Agency, as well as the activities currently being carried out by UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. Meyer stated that UNDP recognises IDDEEA as a key partner and is fully committed to supporting its efforts to use digitalisation to accelerate progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the meeting, Director Badnjević presented successful projects the Agency implemented last year and highlighted the responsibility of the Agency regarding electronic signatures in compliance with the Law on Electronic Signature. Through these activities, the Agency contributes to the modernisation of society, increases the efficiency of services, and supports the transition to a digital society, which can positively impact the achievement of certain sustainable development goals in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Director Badnjević thanked the representatives for the visit and emphasised the importance of their ongoing collaboration, which has contributed to significant progress in the area of digitalisation and data exchange in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed that continued joint efforts with UNDP will further enhance service efficiency and ensure a faster and more effective development of the digital society, which is crucial for achieving sustainable development goals in the country.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Meyer and Mr. Munteanu thanked Director Badnjević for the warm welcome and highlighted the UNDP’s commitment to continuing its support for the Agency and its projects, which contribute to the modernisation of society and the improvement of the quality of life for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
