The Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH), Almir Badnjević, and the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH (HJPC BiH), Sanin Bogunić, held a meeting today with the European Union Special Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Luigi Soreca.
During the meeting, they discussed a new joint initiative between IDDEEA and HJPC BiH aimed at modernising the judicial sector through digital transformation. The project is focused on improving the efficiency and quality of services provided by judicial institutions to citizens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This initiative not only contributes to strengthening the functionality and transparency of the judiciary system but also represents a significant step forward on the path of Bosnia and Herzegovina to European Union membership. The discussions covered specific measures that will enable more efficient data exchange, better institutional connectivity, and more secure and accessible services for all citizens.
“Such initiatives not only support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path toward the European Union but also bring clear benefits to citizens across the country,” stated Ambassador Luigi Soreca, who expressed full support for the process and emphasised the importance of digitalisation as the foundation for a modern, accountable, and citizen-oriented public administration.
IDDEEA and HJPC BiH continue their focused efforts to modernise institutions and strengthen the judicial system in line with European standards.
