Local employees of the Swiss Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the Regional Centre of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) in Sarajevo, where they submitted applications for a qualified electronic signature.
This visit represents a concrete contribution to the promotion of public administration digitalisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and highlights the importance of modernising administrative processes in line with European and international standards. The use of electronic signatures enables faster, safer, and more efficient communication with institutions, directly benefiting citizens and the business sector.
The IDDEEA electronic signature has equal legal standing as a handwritten signature, and its issuance is free for all BiH citizens. Through the “Digital Representation” application, users can access e-services such as e-signature, personal document review, document processing status, traffic fines overview, and information on vehicles registered under their name.
IDDEEA remains committed to improving digital services in compliance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European integration efforts.
