Today, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) signed a memorandum of cooperation, formalising their collaboration aimed at digital modernisation and strengthening of the sports sector in our country.
The memorandum outlines the implementation of a qualified electronic signature and the use of the mobile application e-IDDEEA for athletes, sports federations, and organisations within the system of the BiH Olympic Committee. This cooperation represents a significant step towards the digital transformation of sports institutions, enabling secure and efficient identification, electronic authentication, and document signing – with no paper, delays, or complications.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina has outstanding athletes, talents, and ambassadors of our country around the world. It is our duty to provide them, as well as everyone else, with access to modern and secure digital services to simplify and accelerate administrative processes. This cooperation with the Olympic Committee of BiH sends a clear message – that we are building a stronger, more modern, and digitally ready Bosnia and Herzegovina together,” stated the IDDEEA Agency.
The Olympic Committee of BiH emphasised that this initiative holds multiple values – not only as a technical improvement but also as a symbol of a partnership between state institutions and sports structures, united in the goal of promoting BiH in the best possible light.
Digital security, identity, and trust form the foundation of every modern state. Through steps like this, Bosnia and Herzegovina is demonstrating that it knows how, is capable, and is willing to be a leader in the region – not only in sports achievements but also in digital solutions that uphold dignity and simplify the daily lives of its citizens.
Representatives of the Olympic Committee of BiH took this opportunity to submit applications for the issuance of qualified electronic signatures at the IDDEEA Regional Centre in Sarajevo.
