The Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) today officially opened its new Centre for Storage, Personalisation, and Transport of Documents. With the commissioning of this advanced facility, IDDEEA BiH reaffirms its commitment to system modernisation, enhanced security, and the delivery of efficient services to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Agency’s Director, Mr. Almir Badnjević, emphasised that the premises were developed in line with the highest European standards—demonstrating the Agency’s professionalism, determination, and sense of responsibility. He particularly underscored the importance of the newly installed modern server room, which significantly strengthens the security, reliability, and stability of the digital infrastructure of IDDEEA.

The event was also attended by Mr. Stefano Ellero, Head of Cooperation at the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. Ellero reiterated the European Union’s longstanding support for the development of IDDEEA and noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina now boasts one of the most secure and modern identification systems in the region.
“IDDEEA BiH is a cornerstone institution in the digital transformation process of the country —an effort the EU Delegation will continue to support in the future,” said Mr. Ellero.

The centre was formally opened by Director Badnjević alongside the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Edin Forto, who described IDDEEA as the leading institution driving the digital transformation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He further remarked that the newly established premises are equipped with cutting-edge digital infrastructure, providing a strong foundation for the continued advancement of public administration and citizen services.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by numerous high-ranking officials from various levels of government across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
