ProCredit Bank, as the first and currently only bank in BiH, introduces a service that brings clients a new level of business: bank clients can now obtain a qualified electronic signature directly at the branch, free of charge and in a process that takes just a few minutes.
Official RA certifier offices of the Agency for Identification Documents, Records, and Data Exchange of BiH (IDDEEA) have been opened at ProCredit Bank. This enables bank clients, for the first time, to obtain a qualified electronic signature, which has full legal validity, directly at the bank and use it immediately for banking operations, document signing, and a wide range of digital services in BiH.
“ProCredit has laid the foundations of digital banking in BiH for years, and now we are once again opening a new chapter of digitalization. From today, only our clients can register a qualified electronic signature and simultaneously use it for remote banking services. This is one of our most significant digital advancements and an important step towards banking that respects the way people live and work today,” said Amir Salkanović, CEO of ProCredit Bank.
During the press conference, the media was shown a live demonstration of obtaining and activating a qualified electronic signature. The signature allows clients to digitally sign documents remotely. The process was demonstrated live: a few clicks, a short verification, and the signature was ready for use, clearly illustrating the simplicity of the procedure.
The Director of the Agency, Prof. Dr. Almir Badnjević, stated that a qualified e-signature is a fundamental tool for secure digital business, and citizens can now obtain it quickly and easily for use not only in banking services but also in all other processes in BiH requiring electronic identification and signing.
“The result of successful cooperation between IDDEEA BiH and ProCredit Bank is that ProCredit Bank has become the first bank in BiH to offer its clients the issuance of a free qualified electronic signature directly in the branch by opening an IDDEEA RA certifier office. With this joint step, we provide citizens with easier, faster, and safer access to modern digital solutions,” emphasized Badnjević.
ProCredit Bank has provided the technical infrastructure to open RA certifier offices at all ProCredit locations in Sarajevo: Marijin Dvor (Franca Lehara bb), Centar (Branilaca Sarajeva 19), Otoka Capital Tower (Džemala Bijedića bb), Otoka Veneto (Generala Mehmeda Alagića 6), and Ilidža (Ibrahima Ljubovića 2), as well as branches in Banja Luka, Bijeljina, Mostar, Tešanj, and Tuzla.
