ProCredit Bank and the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) – the IDDEEA CA – signed a partnership agreement today, initiating the process for issuing qualified certificates for remote electronic signatures at all bank offices across the country. Following the certification procedure, all ProCredit Bank customers will have the opportunity to apply for an electronic signature in person at the bank’s offices in the near future. The procedure will be explained in detail to the clients.
A qualified electronic signature is a digital equivalent of a handwritten signature used to confirm the identity of the signer and the authenticity of an electronic document. In the banking sector, electronic signatures enable clients to carry out banking transactions more quickly and securely, sign contracts, approve loans, and conduct other financial activities with no need for physical presence or document printing.
The introduction of electronic signatures is an important step in the further development of digital services, allowing users to carry out business activities faster, more simply, and more securely without physical presence or unnecessary administrative procedures.
Amir Salkanović, Chairman of the Management Board of ProCredit Bank BiH, emphasised the significance of this move:
“Signing this agreement with IDDEEA is a key step in the continuous development of our digital services, which significantly facilitate day-to-day operations. Our clients will be able to arrange a qualified electronic signature from the IDDEEA CA in all ProCredit Bank offices. The electronic signature is a necessary tool for more efficient operations for both citizens and companies. This approach will enable us to provide more modern digital solutions to our clients.”
As a reminder, ProCredit Bank is a pioneer of digital banking on the BiH market. The bank’s digitalisation process began back in 2015, making it the first digital financial institution in the country.
The electronic signature will be available exclusively to ProCredit Bank clients, further confirming the bank’s commitment to providing innovative and accessible digital tools to its users. More information about the bank’s services can be found at www.procreditbank.ba.
ProCredit is the first bank to offer this option, and IDDEEA will provide support to all who wish to use it, increasing the accessibility of services for the general public.
